Iridescent Motion

Iridescent Motion , 16 x 20 mixed media/ oil on gallery wrapped canvas, centers on a hummingbird depicted with a sharp blend of realism and abstraction. The bird’s feathers, rendered in deep blues and greens with touches of white, show careful attention to texture and light, emphasizing their shimmering quality. A vibrant red beak and facial accents provide focal points that contrast strikingly with the cooler tones. Around the hummingbird, sweeping dark lines and splatters suggest movement, adding energy and a sense of flight to the composition. The background transitions smoothly from teal to warm orange, creating depth and enhancing the bird’s vivid palette. The piece conveys both the fragile beauty and restless vitality of the hummingbird in a confident, contemporary style. Unframed, borders painted, does not need frame.
